Project title:  "DIGITAL IMAGE ANALYSIS FOR MICROBIOLOGIOCAL APPLICATIONS"

Project description: Within the project, automated and standardized detection methods for the identification and quantification of bacteria will be developed by means of digital image analysis via the measuring platforms VideoScan and AKLIDES®.

The aim of this project is the development of automated and standardized detection methods for the identification and quantification of bacteria by means of digital image analysis.
With the help of digital image processing, bacteria should not only be detected in a time- and cost-efficient manner. NO - they should also be identified, differentiated und quantified. Since there are no automated and standardized evaluation systems for most microbiological problems available, the aim of the project partners is to provide a reliable, user-independent and reproducible detection and quantification tool of bacteria. Further information on this project can be found on the website of our partner BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

The project  is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the State of Brandenburg (ILB) for the period 2017 - 2020.

Many new developments from the company GA Generic Assays are supported by government grants. This allows the innovative performance of GA Generic Assays to utilize it's full potential, and in recent years has contributed significantly to the growth of the company.

For example, the development of the combination technology CytoBead® was realized through the funding and support of the Central Innovation Program for SMEs of the BMWi. Today the CytoBead® tests are one of the products with the highest potential for GA Generic Assays.
